Amplitude is a Logic Room ‘packaged service’ that helps us begin working with new clients that would
like to extend their current app development efforts and that would like to engage us for custom app
development work on existing projects.
Businesses are often uncertain what to do when trying to establish new inititives, this impacts their
ability to plan effectively and make good decisions.
We designed Amplitude to offer them a structured and methodical way to approach a new app development
strategy. By moving through our process; a business can gain insight into their current state and what is
required to help them meet their new digital objectives.
The process is split into 3 phases; discovery, research and report.
It aims to give you clear recommendations in the form of a written report. You can use this to gain a fresh
perspective for your current team or supplier or to engage Logic Room on a some custom app development.
We begin by spending 2 days onsite (anywhere in the UK) with you. Typically we recommend ½ minimum is spent
with the the project leader where we will establish what the high-level objectives are.
Dependant on engagement we may ask for some time with your team to establish the business objectives, the
current pain points, any fears the team may have in delivering a new project (risks).
After our initial onsite discovery we move things back to our office in Reading and begin an unlimited
‘research phase’ (which has been matched to your high-level objectives).
The research is done by our team. It is done by combining the skills of all our developers and our founding
team. It may include any type of research which is going to help us delivery of your final report. We do any
thing from code reviews to proof-of-concept work. Here is a list of things that could be included:
Once our research has been conducted and we have covered all of your potential options we prepare a report.
It is matched to your initial objectives with anything else we discovered during the research phase.
This is created in word or powerpoint (on request). It is designed for either the technical or non-technical
project lead. It will be written in a way that is easy to digest for anyone in your team or company. We make
sure to use accessible language and clear explanations.
When the report is ready we will arrange a final handover site visit. This visit will also include a session
with the project lead and team to deliver an explanation of the report and any custom training we have
decided may be useful for you to know.
My current project is not delivering; I’m in pain, can you help? Yes, we excel at getting
companies out of problems (not into them). We have worked extensively with organisations that have projects
that are not hitting their objectives and leaving everyone frustrated. We help you get clarity and honesty
running through your projects where you need it most.
Can I hire one of your developers to do work for us? Potentially; typically new customers
engage with us using Ignition or Amplitude before we enter into a development agreement, this is because we
have designed our processes to understand our clients before beginning work with them.
